Impromptu Play with Pom pom and Pipe Cleaner

Sharing is caring!

Remember the playdate last week?  Ok,  once we arrived in our house,  I haven’t got time to put the craft supply in our craft station.  So,  it’s just lying on top of our shoe shelf.

Abdurrahman found it after school and started to play with it independently.
He put the pom pom inside the egg carton while counting them one by one.

Khadijah chose to play with the bright-colored pipe cleaner,  what a nice sensory play for her.

Suddenly I remember one post shared in Powerful Mothering about harvesting carrot. Making the carrots is easy,  just use green and orang pipe cleaner (2 short green pipe cleaner as leaves and one long orange one for the carrot – fold into half and twisted around the leaves) and now the carrots are really to be planted (or harvested)  from the egg carton.

For a more challenging task,  I asked Abdurrahman to pull the carrot using the wooden clothes pin. Then,  we counted the carrots together.

Nice and quick activity to whip up with your kids.

Do you have any other kids activity that can be prepared quickly like this?
